Dr. John E. Tunstall is the Senior Pastor of Abundant Life Christian Church in Los Angeles, California and, Overseer for the African American Convocation of the Pacific Southwest Region (Disciples of Christ) .
A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, Dr. Tunstall earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in 1972. He earned his Masters of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary and received his honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree from the Southern California School of Ministry in 1990.
Dr. Tunstall has pastored churches in Indianapolis, Indiana, Xenia, Ohio, and in Los Angeles , California . He currently serves on the Regional Board of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ ),
- Eagle Wings Evangelistic Ministries and the
- Christian Ecumenical Covenant Fellowship (C.E.C.F)
Dr. Tunstall has served as Board Chairman for the Southern California School of Ministry for the past twenty years, and has been a part of the teaching faculty .
He receives numerous speaking engagements throughout the United States each year and has received many community awards and presentations throughout the Los Angeles area.
Dr. Tunstall is a man of integrity, leading enthusiastically his congregation to make disciples that make a difference.
He and his lovely wife, Dr. Lisa Tunstall have been married for over 30 years, and are the proud parents of Jonli and Jonathan Tunstall.
